Indigenous Peoples Month: Honoring Our Roots

Celebrating Indigenous Peoples Month

Every October, the Philippines celebrates Indigenous Peoples Month. This year's theme, "Valuing, Nurturing, and Honoring Indigenous Peoples and Indigenous Knowledge," highlights the importance of recognizing and respecting the unique cultures and traditions of our Indigenous Peoples.

During this month, we honor the contributions of Indigenous Peoples to our nation's history and culture. We celebrate their rich heritage, their deep connection to the land, and their wisdom. By recognizing their rights and promoting their well-being, we can build a more just and equitable society.
